From the aquamarine ocean kissed beaches, to the rugged, rocky hills, Magnetic Island has a veritable smorgasbord of landscape photography ops.
Many locations are near instant picture perfect postcard images, ready to be enjoyed and captured straight away, whilst others are worth waiting for; Winter sunsets are one of the most spectacular, and the cooling waterfalls are a gorgeous wet-season treat.
As well as ‘standard’ landscape photography, you can also learn about more specialised techniques such as the use of filters, shot bracketing (to create HDR images), panorama-stitching, and long-exposure photography. For the real OCD out there, I can even get out the tilt-shift lenses and we can shoot with full perspective and increased focal-plane control..!
